Eva & Becca

A few months ago I had the pleasure of photographing my two dear friends wedding in Eastbourne. It was unlike anything I had ever attended before; it was a very calm, hands on, beautiful day of celebrating the radiant love between two people.

Nearly everybody who came was invited to contribute towards this celebration by bringing home-made food, playing acoustic music, singing, helping the brides with their hair make up and helping the day flow smoothly throughout.

The bride’s have known each other for over 10 years and Eva and Becca met through my family. All of our lives have been directed in interesting ways from meeting one another- if we hadn’t all met my sister may not have found her beautiful voice, I may not have ever become a photographer and they may have never met. Each of these things are so prominent in our lives now so it’s interesting to wonder who we may have been if our lives hadn’t crossed.

It was wonderful photographing them as we all had a certain amount of trust in each other.. because of our friendship I believed I could capture more true and intimate moments that have often been a bit harder to capture with other couples in the past.

Here are a few photographs from their special day..

Then one of the balloons flew away…
